Greencastle, Ind., Banner-Graphic, Monday, 15 Apr 1974: "Raleigh McVay, a former 
resident of Floyd Township, died Friday morning at the Riverview Nursing Home at 
Marion. Survivors include three children, Robert McVay of Indianapolis, Julian McVay 
of Lafayette, and Mrs. Nellie Williams of Montpelier. Also surviving are three 
grandchildren and one brother, Conrad McVay of New Winchester. Funeral services 
were held Monday at 10:30 a.m. from the Weaver Funeral Hom in Danville. The Rev. 
Raymond Rissler officiated. Burial was in the South Cemetery at Danville."
