James E. McIntosh, 75, of 220 Richmond Pike, Eaton, died Monday morning at Miami 
Valley Hospital, where he recently underwent surgery. He was employed at the Preble 
County Court House as a custodian from 1918 until his retirement in October 1961.

Survivors include his widow, Katherine; one daughter, Mrs. Phylis J. Miles of Dayton; 
a step son, Richard Cail of Richmond, Ind.; two step daughters, Mrs. Margaretta 
Sourbeer of Eaton, and Mrs. Virginia McCampbell of Camden; three brothers, Dora, Ira, 
and Clarence, all of Parkersburg, West Virginia; two sisters, Miss Letta McIntosh, and 
Mrs. Nona Masters, all of Parkersburg, West Virginia; one granddaughter, and nine 
step grandchildren.

Services for Mr. McIntosh were held Wednesday at the Girton-Schmidt Memorial Home 
with Rev. Harley Brown officiating. Burial was in Monroe Cemetery.
