Lawrence Hugh Mabe Of Westlake Village, California and formerly of Richmond and 
Centerville, Indiana, died peacefully at home Saturday, April 10, 2010. Born in 
Columbus, Indiana, May 16, 1919, to Cecil and Hazel Mabe, Larry married Anna Faye 
Clark in 1941 (deceased 2004) also from Columbus. He served in the Army in World 
War II where he was awarded a Purple Heart. Larry managed the Producer's 
Marketing Association stockyard in Centerville. Larry was a member of the American 
Legion, the Elks Club, the Masonic Blue Lodge, Scottish Rite, and Murat Shrine in 
Indianapolis. Larry is survived by his sister, Mildred Weatherly who resides in 
Indianapolis and his only son, David Charles Mabe residing with his wife Susan in 
Woodland Hills, California. He is also survived by two grandchildren, David Todd 
Mabe and Christina Laura (Mabe) DiStefano along with five great grandchildren. A 
private family burial will occur at Bethel Baptist Church in Columbus, Indiana where he 
will be placed next to his wife.
