Grace M. "Millie" Clark, 90, of Nashville, died at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, February 3, 
2011, at Columbus Regional Hospital.

After graduating from nursing school, Mrs. Clark served as a Lieutenant with the U.S. 
Navy during World War II as a nurse in Norman, Oklahoma.

She was a registered nurse at Bartholomew County Hospital for 30 years, was a former 
Director of Nursing and was instrumental in starting the discharge planning.

Mrs. Clark was an active member of First Church of the Nazarene in Columbus and 
Nashville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed Bible studies, reading, china 
painting, knitting and crocheting.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick 
Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike with Rev. Bryan Solomon officiating.

Family and friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until service time 
Monday.

Entombment will be at Garland Brook Mausoleum.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Columbus Regional Hospital 
Foundation.

Born in Shamokin, PA, July 22, 1920, Mrs. Clark was the daughter of Frank E. and 
Grace Reedy Wildsmith. She married Albert R. Clark Jr. April 15, 1944. He preceded 
her in death on May 12, 1990.

Survivors include her sons, Paul M. Clark of Pensacola, FL, and Jan D. (Cheryl) Clark 
of Helmsburg; a grandson, Adam Clark of Bloomington; and two great-grandchildren.

Lydia Grace Johnson, the granddaughter that Mrs. Clark never had but loved dearly, 
was at her side at the time of her passing.

Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
