David E. Moffitt, 80, of Idaho Falls, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Eastern 
Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. 

 David was born June 29, 1933, in McKeesport, Pa., to James and Marion Moffitt. 

 David served in the U.S. Army; upon his return, he went into sales and joined the 
Masonic Fraternal. He was blessed with children, Jeff and Leanne Moffitt. 

 In 1993, he met and married his soul mate, Vicki Nelson; with this union came a 
stepson, Jason Flitton. 

 David loved baseball. He and Vicki would travel to games and spring training. They 
loved spending time together and with their coffee shop family. 

 David is survived by his wife, Vicki of Idaho Falls; stepson, Jason (Kes) Flitton; son, 
Jeff Moffitt; and daughter, Leanne (John) Ryan; several grandchildren; and his 
beloved pets, Cricket and Oscar. 

 He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Marion; and his beloved pet, 
Chester. 

 David was an avid baseball fan, so we ask everyone to wear jeans and t-shirts to the 
service. 

 Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at Buck-Miller-Hann 
Funeral Home, 825 E. 17th St. in Idaho Falls. Burial will follow at Ammon North 
Cemetery in Ammon, with military rites under the direction of the Bonneville Veterans 
Team and Idaho National Guard. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 7 
p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and for one hour prior to services Saturday, both at the funeral 
home.
