Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, Robert Emmanuel 
Hanson, age 74, passed away peacefully on June 25, 1999 in Salt Lake City, with his 
family by his side.

Born September 11, 1924, a son of Nathan Emmanuel and Roxie Rumel Hanson. 
Married his dear Sweetheart, Betty Hart, on June 30, 1943 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; 
the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Bob served in the US 
Navy during World War II. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed the 
outdoors. He served as president of Beehive Wasatch Bowhunters. Bob was a retired 
postal carrier. Dad will be remembered for his strength, courage and love for his 
family. He had a great sense of humor and gift of "gab".Survived by his wife of 56 
years, Betty; children: Sharon (Roman) Schwarz, Robin (Joslyne) Hanson, David 
(Barbara) Hanson, Carolee (Mike) Noss, Jill (Darrell) Wood; adopted son Morris (Cherri) 
Pratt; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, 
granddaughter Stacie Schwarz.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 12 noon, at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 
South Redwood Road, where friends may call Monday, 6-8 p.m., and Tuesday, 11-
11:45 a.m. Interment: Redwood Memorial Estates.
