Mr. Brown died on Thursday, Sept. 21st. He was a dairy farmer & member of the First 
Baptist Church of Damascus where he served as deacon for 55 years. He was 
preceded in death by his parents, Alvin J. & Llydia Elizabeth (Sims) Brown; brothers, 
Alvin J., Jr., Carl, Carthie, Howard, & Layman Brown, & sister, Flossie Brown. Survivors 
include his wife of 64 years, Helen W. Brown; daughter, Peggy McCool & husband Bill; 
son, Robert Brown & wife Judge, of Damascus; three grandchildren, three great-
grandchildren; his brother, Joe Brown & wife Clariece, & his sister, Maxine Linn & 
husband Q.T., of Damascus. Interment followed funeral services conducted on 
Saturday, September 23, 2006 at the First Baptist Church in Damascus; officiating by 
Bro. Daniel Williams. Pallbearers included Don & Phil Linn, Terry & Jimmy Brown, & 
Sam Massey. Honary pallbearers were Charles Riddle, Kenneth Hall, & Jimmie Megee. 
The Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Greenbrier, AR, assisted the family with the 
arrangements.
