1967, to be war correspondent, toured Europe, got to Hong Kong on a freighter as the 
ship's corpsman. When reached Saigon, showed a letter from Providence Journal and 
was accredited. Had been a Stanford student but left as sophomore. Was killed doing 
humanitarian work. Services at Central Congregational Church in Providence. Killed by 
small arms fire. Was working for AID. Was asst to AID Provincial Representative. Grad 
Moses Brown School in Providence in 1964, completed 2 yrs of Asian and Political 
Science study at Stanford.
