Funeral Services for Marvin Dale Maule of Carroll were held Sunday April 2, 2000 at 
the Cottonwood Cemetery near Lake City with the Rev. Betty Wiedert of the Lake City 
Union Church officiating.

Mr. Maule, 67, of 506 N. Grant Road, died at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll 
on Saturday, April 1, 2000 where he had been hospitalized since last Wednesday.

Arrangements were performed by Dahn & Woodhouse Funeral Home of Carroll.

He was born on Dec. 21, 1932, in Sac City, the son of Robert and Elma (Swenson) 
Maule. He was married to Beverly C. Patten on April 8, 1952 at Lytton.

Mr. Maule worked as a mechanical engineer for Ike Jenson Construction Co., served 
as a school bus driver and mechanic and served as Chief of Police in Alta.

He also worked at Nobel Manufacturing in Sac City and managed the Courtview 
Apartments in Carroll for 10 years.

Mr. Maule was a member of The First Baptist Church in Sac City.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, and woodworking.

Mr. Maule is survived by his wife, Beverly, of Carroll; his mother, Elma Maule of Sac 
City; a son, Randy Maule and his wife, Sandy of Des Moines; two daughters, Georgia 
Wiedern and her husband, Joe, of Lake City Rose Thomas and her husband, Walter, 
of Carroll; nine grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; two sisters, Marlene Lents and 
her husband Ollie, and Vickie Giraird and her husband, Terry, of Sac City; and a 
sister-in-law and her husband, Donna and Jim Murray of Irwin, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his father; two brothers, Robert G. Maule and Donald D. 
Maule; and a granddaughter, April Ann Gurney.
