accident in Nanaimo, British Columbia. Beloved daughter of Frances and the late 
Irving Pustil. Loving mother of Mike, Celia and fiance Mark. Devoted sister of Stephen 
and Suzie, Sheri and Gerry Sokalsky, Anne (Honey), and Jeff and Kathy. Loving 
partner of Mary Winder and son Paul. Dearest aunt to many nieces and nephews. 
Loving and beloved niece and cousin to many aunts uncles and cousins. Jude was a 
special and loving woman to many, many friends across the country.

Judy Pustil 

Jude Pustil was one of Toronto's first midwives. A registered massage therapist and a 
social worker, therapist and counselor "but always a midwife first". 
She was a founding member of The Association of Ontario Midwives. She practiced 
midwifery in Ontario and British Columbia in the early 1980's. 
Her family established an award in her name after her tragic death in a car accident in 
1997.
