Boston Evening Transcript 11 Nov 1911, indicted and found not guilty of assault with 
intent to kill superintendent of Gleason Mill at Stow, now indicted for assaulting 
Robert J. Beavis, an employee at the mill.
Earlier account Boston Evening Transcript 14 Sep 1911, he had been discharged 
more than a yaear ago, got into an argument over back pay. Shot at Gleason, owner 
of the mill, but hit Roberts, his successor as superintendent, in the shoulder. 
Overpowered by Gleason and Roberts. Then as they were binding him, he shot Beavis 
in the hand. Had been employed there for more than 20 years. Defense was not of 
sound mind.

obit 26 Oct 1938 Hartford (Conn) Courant: "Phineas Feather, 881 Burnside Avenue, 
East Hartford, died Wednesday. He was a member of Day-Kimball Masonic Lodge, 
Monson, Mass. he leave a son, Gilbert R. Feather of Hartford, a daughter, Mis hazel J 
Feather of Hudson, Mass., and a brother, Benjamin Feather of Hudson Falls, N.Y. The 
funderal will be held at the funeral home of Taylor and Modeen at a time to be 
announced."
