A Funeral Service for Shirley Nelle Hartman has been scheduled for 12:00 PM, 
Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Hayhurst Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow. 
A private family interment will follow at Fort Gibson National Cemetery. 

 Shirley was born in Oakwood, Oklahoma, Saturday, March 18, 1933, the daughter of 
Walter and Oleana (Friend) Rogers. Shirley died in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on 
Thursday, September 10, 2015. She was 82 years of age. 

 Shirley was a 1951 graduate of Springdale High School in Springdale, Arkansas. She 
married Philip Hartman in Springdale, Arkansas on December 2, 1951. Shirley was a 
seamstress and a master gardener. She was a Cub Scout Den-Mother, Band Parent, 
Children's Church Leader, Missionette Leader and Sunday School Teacher at Broken 
Arrow Assembly of God. She was always the homeroom mother for her four children 
and was PTA President. She also enjoyed painting, especially lighthouses. 

 Shirley is survived by, Daughters, Emilie Cavin and husband Randy, Catoosa, OK 

 Laurie Robertson and husband Mark, Broken Arrow, OK 

 Sons, Philip S. Hartman, Tulsa, OK 

 David Hartman and wife Teresa, Greenville, TX 

 Grandchildren, Jason and Bev, Jon and Jamie, Tim, Alysha, Stephanie and Simon, 
Joshua and Jennifer, Shane and Jennifer, Kara and Jared, Chad and Mary-Paige 

 Great-Grandchildren, Madison, Schaller, Alex, Kade, Courtney, Colton, Chase, Ellie, 
Benji, Presley, Sloane, Jude, and Penny-Lane 

 She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Philip, sister, Joy 
McGaughey, brother, Jimmy Rogers, and Half Siblings, Duane Rogers, Horace Rogers, 
Ivan Rogers, and Helen Widney.
