Lela M. Schanbeck, 83, died Monday morning, June 2, 1997, in Delaware County 
Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Community 
Congregational United Church of Christ. Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, rural Masonville. 
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Shelly Funeral Home, Manchester, and after 10 
a.m. Wednesday at the church. 

Survivors include three daughters, Viola Dennler of Elkader, June Hicok of Lake 
Crystal, Minn., and Lois Peltz of Joliet, Ill.
