obit excerpt: "Mrs. Ellen Hosley Brown died at her home in Cuba Sunday morning after 
a brief illness ... Mrs. Brown was born at Haskell, July 17, 1876, the daughter of the 
late Henry and Sophia LaFever Hosley. ,... On Oct. 10, 1894, she was married to 
Louis Brown of Haskell, who died three years ago.
Mrs. Brown leaves one daughter, Kate Smith, at home; three sons, Warren A., Niagara 
Falls; Dexter and Henry, Cuba; also 15 grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. William Pettit, and
