Patricia (Schroeder) Brown, 77, of Manchester, beloved wife of 52 years of Ernie 
Brown, died peacefully Sunday, May 20, 2012, at St. Francis Hospital. 

 She was born May 1, 1935, in Coraopolis, Pa., daughter of the late Denver F. "Duke" 
and Lottie (Barnowski) Schroeder, and came to Manchester as a young girl. Pat 
attended local schools, was a 1953 graduate of Manchester High School and had 
worked for many years at Hamilton Standard before raising her family. She was an avid 
Red Sox and Giants fan, she loved supporting the UConn men's and women's 
basketball teams. However, her most passionate teams were that of her granddaughter 
Stephanie's softball teams and grandson Cameron's football and baseball teams. Pat 
was a great reader, she loved to crochet and watch birds, but her greatest joy came 
when spending time with her grandchildren. 

 In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, daughter, Laura J. 
Hohenthal, and her husband, Paul, of Manchester; son, Steven D. Brown, and his 
wife, Teresa, of Hebron; two grandchildren, Stephanie N. Brown and Cameron S. 
Brown; and great-granddaughter, Arianna N. Olson, all of Hebron. Other survivors 
include her brother, Denver Raymond Schroeder, and his wife, Janice, of Coventry; 
and several nieces and nephews. Pat was predeceased by her sister, Sandra Jeanne 
Schroeder. 

 Funeral services will be private with burial in the East Cemetery. 

 The Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., has care of arrangements. 

 In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Francis Hospital Cancer 
Center, 95 Woodland St., Hartford, CT 06105-9720.
