Charles E. Oliver, 85, of North Port, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005. 

 He was born Feb. 15, 1919 in Jamaica, N.Y. 

 Charles grew up in New Jersey. He was a mechanical engineer and worked on Polaris 
missiles, rocket engines and nuclear power plants. He was also a Bible teacher and a 
volunteer missionary. He served with the Oriental Mission Society International, Far 
East Broadcasting Company and Transworld Radio. He was a member of South 
Biscayne Baptist Church. 

 He is survived by his wife of 21 years, June; sons, Russell Oliver of New York, Roger 
Oliver and Timothy Oliver, both of New Jersey; and four grandchildren. 

 Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 14, 2005 at the Englewood 
Chapel of Lemon Bay Funeral Home. A celebration of life and a reception will be held 
at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005 at South Biscayne Baptist Church. Burial will be 
at Gulf Pines Memorial Park. 

 Memorial donations may be made to the Oriental Mission Society International, Box A, 
Greerwood, IN 46142-6599. 

 Arrangements are by Lemon Bay Funeral Home, Englewood Chapel.
