PLEASANT LAKE - Ruth D. Duguid, 90, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012, at 
her home in Pleasant Lake, Indiana. She was born June 26, 1922, in Salem Township, 
Steuben County, Indiana, to Gaulbert and Dessie (Hamman) Gaetz. She married 
Crampton J. Duguid on October 22, 1944.

She graduated from Ravenscroft Beauty College and was the owner and operator of 
the Country Beauty Nook for over 50 years.

Ruth was a member of the Pleasant Lake Baptist Church and the Baptist Women 
Association. She was a member of the Angola Women of the Moose, Angola 
Hairdressers Association, Dana Retiree's, Sugar & Spice Home Economics Club for 50 
years, and the Crimson Red-Red Hat Ladies.

Indiana to Gaulbert and Dessie (Hamman) Gaetz. She married Crampton J. Duguid on 
October 22, 1944. She graduated from Ravenscroft Beauty College and was the owner 
and operator of the Country Beauty Nook over 50 years. Ruth was a member of the 
Pleasant Lake Baptist Church and the Baptist Women Association. She was a member

Ladies. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law James C. Duguid of 
Wolcottville, IN, Jeffery W. and Connie Duguid of Pleasant Lake, IN, her daughters 
and son-in-law JoAnn and John Taylor of Angola, IN, Julie K. Duguid of Pleasant 
Lake, IN, 7 grandchildren John Jason "Jake" (Laura) Taylor, Jeri Jo (Jody) Fifer, 
Darian (Larry) Denman, Dr. Erica Duguid (Andy Scaife), Rachel (Tye) Keys, Stephanie 
(Dean) VanderHorst, Dr. Tonya Duguid (Dr. Joseph Fretzel) , 20 great grandchildren 
and one great grandchild on the way. She is preceded in death by her parents, 
husband Crampton J. Duguid on August 25, 1981, Companion Arther Sheets, her son 
Jerry Lynn Duguid, four brothers Homer Gaetz, Wilber Gaetz, Owen Gaetz, Robert 
Gaetz, and her three sisters Iola Trindle, Joyce Gaetz and Marjorie Weatherly. 
Services will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at the Weicht Funeral 
Home, Angola, IN with Rev. George Foulk officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant 
Lake Cemetery, Pleasant Lake, IN. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the 
service. Memorials may be made to the Pleasant Lake Baptist Church's or to the family 
c/o Julie K. Duguid.
