Virginia A. DeMoss 



Virginia A. DeMoss, of 1264 W. CR 30, Tiffin, died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005, at St. 
Francis Nursing Home, Tiffin. She was born Aug. 20, 1918 to Harry and Clara Zink. 
She graduated from Old Fort High School in 1936, and married Raymond DeMoss on 
Aug. 20, 1939. He survives. They recently celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. 
She was a homemaker and active community member. She especially enjoyed helping 
her husband Raymond with the Old Fort Lions Club and belonged to the Farm Women's 
Club, Cheery Circle, the Do Nothing Club, and volunteered at the Old Fort Elementary 
School's Crafty Fridays Program. She was a member of the Old Fort United Methodist 
Church and the Gulf to Bay Cooperative. Her hobbies included: knitting, crocheting, 
playing cards, and visiting with her grandchildren and watching the Cleveland Indians. 

She is preceded in death by her parents Harry Zink and Clara (Saxowski), a sister, 
Mrs. Betty Miller of Sandusky, and a niece Mrs. Carolyn Humphrey of Castalia.
She is survived by her husband Raymond R. DeMoss of Old Fort, sons, Richard 
(Melissa) of New Riegel, Don A. DeMoss, and Betty Baxter of Tiffin; four grandchildren 
Amanda and Michelle DeMoss of Tiffin, Raeann DeMoss of Sycamore, and Mary 
Parise DeMoss, of New Riegel; six great grandchildren Brittain and Brooklynne Marker 
of Tiffin, Makayla DeMoss and Breanna, Devon, and Dylan Stephens of Tiffin. She is 
also survived by Mrs. Donna Jean Ferrell, the Charles and Donna Miller Family, and 
the Robert Humphrey Family of Sandusky.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 26, 2005, at the Engle-Shook 
Funeral Home in Tiffin with Pastor Scott Nichols and Pastor Norm Murray officiating. 
Visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the 
Pleasant Union Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Old Fort Lions Club, the Old Fort United Methodist 
Church, or Old Fort Schools.
