 David J. O' Leary, 83, of Jensen Beach, FL, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2012 
in Stuart, FL, of natural causes. 

 Born in Oswego, NY to the late Joseph and Pauline (Kane) O'Leary, he was a 1951 
graduate of Oswego State College with a bachelor's in elementary education, K-8. 

 David taught in the Scotia Glenville Central School District, Jr. High from 1953 to 
1960 and then was the district manager for Field Enterprises Education Corporation 
from 1960 to 1962. Then he worked as an elementary school teacher for Burnt-Hills 
Ballston Lake Central School District at Pashley Elementary School from 1962 to 1984. 
David worked for Easy Method Driving School as an instructor from 1988 to 2000. 

 David served in the United States Army from 1951 to1953 as a corporal during the 
Korean War and was also active in politics. 

 David was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph O'Leary and Paul O'Leary, and three 
sisters, Pauline Meade, Ursula Kingston and Rosemary Knight. 

 David was also predeceased by his wife, Florence (Boyce) O'Leary on January 1, 
1993. 

 Survivors include a daughter, Khris Hodgson and her husband, William of Saugerties, 
NY, and many nieces and nephews. 

 Services will be held on Monday at 9 a.m. at the Bekkering-Ellis Funeral Home, Inc., 
then to St. Joseph's Church, Scotia, for a 9:30 a.m. Mass. 

 Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. 

 Burial is in Park Cemetery, Scotia, NY. 

 Contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice in memory of David J. 
O'Leary.
