DUANESBURG --- Allen G. Chesnut, 68, of Delavan road, died Thursday [11 NOV 
1999 ] at home after a brief illness.

A lifelong Duanesburg resident, Mr. Chesnut attended Delanson High School.

He was a farmer, master mechanic, and excavation contractor. He worked in 
construction in Liberia and in Africa for three years during the early 1960s.

Mr. Chesnut was a member and former Treasurer of the Duanesburg Reformed 
Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Duanesburg Senior Citizens, Annie 
Schaffer Senior Citizens and the 106th Operating Engineers Union.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Wildy Chesnut, whom he married Feb 14, 1969; a 
son, Kevin A. Chesnut of Duanesburg, a daughter Debbie Daley of Howes Cave; two 
brothers, Waldo E. Chesnut Jr. of Knox and Robert W. Chesnut of Poultney, Vt; three 
sisters, Arlene D. Reid of Cincinnati, Roberta M. Thomas of Memphis, Tenn., and 
Carole J. Smith of New Concord, Ohio; and three grandchildren.

The service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Duanesburg Reformed Presbyterian 
Church.

There will be no calling hours.

Burial will be in the Duanesburg Reformed Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
