Dorothy W. ''Dottie'' Hamilton, 81, of Pleasant Avenue died Thursday at her residence 
following a brief illness. 

 She was born in Bacon Hill, N.Y., a daughter of Nathan and May Durrin Winney, and 
attended schools in Schuylerville, N.Y. 

 For the past 40 years, Mrs. Hamilton lived on Pleasant Avenue, where she brought up 
her children. 

 Dottie worked for A&P Bakery for many years until it closed. She then went to work as 
a care giver to the elderly. 

 She is survived by two daughters, Sibyl Campbell of Portland and Pia Hamilton of 
California; three sons, Cecil of Old Orchard Beach, Michael of Portland and Jerry 
Hamilton of Buxton; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

 Private burial will be in Bacon Hill, N.Y. Arrangements are by Hay & Peabody, 
Portland.
