Carl D. Izzo, of Paisley Road, 73, died Dec. 6, 2007, at Saratoga Hospital. 

 Born in Schuylerville, he was a son of the late Carl and Helen (Winney) Izzo and 
became a jockey at the age of 16, riding for several years. He was employed for over 
25 years at the General Electric Company in Schenectady prior to his retirement. 

 He enjoyed antique and classic cars, often attending many area car shows and was a 
member of the Automobilists of the Upper Hudson Valley, Inc. Carl also volunteered at 
the Saratoga Springs History Museum at the Canfield Casino in Congress Park and 
was a member of the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame and St. Clement's 
Church. 

 He was predeceased by one sister, Shirley Rudisaille. 

 Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Margaret (Young) Izzo; one daughter, Jane 
Izzo of Rolla, Missouri; one son, Charles Izzo of Ballston Spa; one sister, Mrs. John 
(Jane) Kreski of Greenfield Center; and several nieces, nephews and many cousins. 

 Relatives and friends may call from 10 to 12 noon Monday at the William J. Burke & 
Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, followed by funeral 
services at 12 noon at the funeral home. 

 Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, West Ave. 

 Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Northeastern New York 
area, 440 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205.
