SOUTH CORINTH - Sylvia M. Chandler, 70, formerly of Comstock Road, died 
Thursday, March 16, 2006, at Saratoga Hospital following a brief illness. 

 Born on Aug. 17, 1935, in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late 
Raymond and Gladys (Hinnie) Parmatier. 

 Mrs. Chandler attended school in Saratoga Springs. 

 She married Harry E. Chandler on Sept. 18, 1954, in Saratoga Springs. The couple 
resided in South Corinth for many years. Most recently, they have lived in Rome, N.Y. 

 Mrs. Chandler worked at Saratoga Hospital for 43 years until her retirement in 1998. 

 She enjoyed baking, crocheting, square dancing and mostly enjoyed her family. 

 Besides her husband and her parents, two brothers, Joseph Parmatier and Harvey 
Parmatier all died before her. 

 Survivors include one daughter, Holly Chandler of Rome; two granddaughters, 
Heather and Shelby Niles, both of Rome; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

 Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2006, at Densmore Funeral 
Home, Inc., 7 Sherman Ave., Corinth with the Rev. David Parker, pastor of the Corinth 
Wesleyan Church, officiating. 

 Burial will be at the convenience of the family in the spring at St. Peters Cemetery, 
Saratoga Springs. 

 Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, prior to the service. 

 The family suggests that memorials take the form of donations to the American Cancer 
Society, 959 Route 9, Mount Royal Plaza, Queensbury, NY 12804. 

 The family wishes to send out a special thank you to the staff at both the ICU Unit 
and floor A3 at Saratoga Hospital and also an extra special thank you to Dr. Del 
Giacco and Patty.
