WARRENSBURG -- Clarence D. "Cal" Kennison Sr., 50, of Meadowlark Lane, 
Warrensburg, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2011, at Glens Falls Hospital, 
surrounded by his loving family. 

 Born Oct. 5, 1960, in Dover, Del., he was the son of the late Frederick C. Kennison 
Sr. and Jennie (Donahue) Kennison-Smith. 

 Cal was a 1979 graduate of Hudson Falls High School. 

 He served his country in the U. S. Air Force from 1981 to 1982. 

 On Sept. 13, 1980, Cal married Patricia "Patty" Varney at St. Joseph's Catholic 
Church in Fort Edward. 

 Cal worked at Finch Pruyn for the past 10 years. Prior to that, he worked at Suburban 
Propane and Able Energy, for many years. 

 Cal was an avid participant for many years with Rides For Kids, supporting the 
Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, a cause he was passionate about. 

 Cal was a member of the former George Satterlee Hose Fire Company No. 2 in Fort 
Edward for eight years. He was a member of the NRA (National Rifle Association), and 
also was a hunter education instructor in Warren County for many years. He was also 
a member of the Warrensburg Fire Company and drove ambulance for Warrensburg 
Fire and Rescue Squad for two years. 

 Some of Cal's enjoyments included hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and 
photography. He had taken many photos of family gatherings as part of that 
enjoyment. Above all, Call most importantly enjoyed spending time with his family, and 
his granddaughter, Summer "The Pants" Krom, who was the light of his life. 

 In addition to his parents, Cal was predeceased by an infant son, Clarence D. "CJ" 
Kennison Jr., his father-in-law, John R. Varney Sr. and his aunt, Jennie Austin. 

 Survivors include his beloved wife of 30 years, Patricia "Patty" Kennison of 
Warrensburg; two childrenl, one son, David Kennison and his companion, Jennifer 
McGreevy, of Glens Falls, and David's son, Gavin Michael Randall of Corinth, and one 
daughter, Yvonne Krom and her husband, Brian, and their daughter, Summer 
Elizabeth, all of Warrensburg. He is also survived by a sister, Mary Bombard, and her 
husband, Mike, of Glens Falls; two brothers, Fred Kennison of Gansevoort, and Ken 
Kennison and his fiancee, Christina Morgan, of Hudson Falls; his stepfather, Judson 
Smith; his mother-in-law, Patricia Varney; several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, 
uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. 

 Friends may call upon the family Friday, March 25, 2011 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Maynard 
D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury. 

 A celebration of Cal's life will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home, with Father Busch, 
pastor of Our Lady of the Annunciation Church, officiating. 

 A celebration of life gathering will follow at Ken Kennison's home in Hudson Falls 
following the ceremony. 

 Burial will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Fort Edward at a later date to be 
announced. 

 Everyone is invited to join Cal's family July 17, 2011, when they will be riding Cal's 
motorcycle as a "Last Ride" in his memory to support Ride For Kids, a program that
