Patricia was born to George and Grace Bentley Sleevy. She was the granddaughter of 
E.W. Bentley, a pioneer Napan. 
Pat is survived by her father, George Sleevy of Pleasant Hill; aunts, Ellen Fetscher of 
Missoula, Mont., and Peggy Meister of Napa; uncle, Thomas Bentley of Napa and 
many cousins. 
She was preceded in death by her mother and her long-time companion Wayne Lew.

Patricia A. Sleevy died at age 56 on Tuesday, Feb. 27 in San Francisco after a long 
battle with cancer. She was the granddaughter of E.W. Bentley, a pioneer Napan. 
Much of her childhood was spent at her grandparents home in Napa's Alta Heights. 
She was born on Aug. 14, 1945 to George and Grace Bentley Sleevy in Vallejo. She 
received her education in Vallejo and Oakland schools. As an adult she worked and 
lived in San Francisco where she had many dear friends, including Gail Casswell and 
Fran Schecter. Pat is survived by her father, George Sleevy of Pleasant Hill; aunts, 
Ellen Fetscher of Missoula, Mont., and Peggy Meister of Napa; uncle, Thomas Bentley 
of Napa and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother and her long-
time companion Wayne Lew. A private memorial service is planned. Treadway and 
Wigger Funeral Chapel cared for inurnment in the Bentley Family plot at Tulocay 
Cemetery. Contributions to the We Care Animal Society, 1345 Charter Oak Ave. in St. 
Helena, 94574 or to Laguna-Honda Hospice, 375 Laguna Honda Blvd., San 
Francisco, Calif., 94116, Attn: Dr. Kerr, have been suggested by the family.
