WARREN - Ralph H. Rice, 86, of 171 Reed St., an orchard worker for many years, 
died Sunday night in Providence House Nursing Home of Southbridge. 

 He leaves his wife of 60 years, Bernice (Broga) Rice; a son, Fred Rice of Pierre, 
S.D.; three daughters, Evelyn Beauregard of Ware, Rosemary Rice of Belchertown 
and Shirley Peaney of Newton, Kan.; a sister, Dorothy Booth of Warren; eight 
grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Warren, 
son of George E. and Hattie (Webber) Rice. 

 He was a laborer at Breezeland Orchards for many years before he retired. 

 A funeral service and burial will be private. There are no calling hours. Doherty 
Funeral Home, 40 Bacon St., is directing arrangements.
