NORMAND J. BIRON, 73 
STURBRIDGE - Normand J. Biron, 73, of 59 Brookfield Road, Fiskdale, a decorated 
World War II Navy veteran, died Sunday night in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester, 
after an illness. 

 His wife, Maude E. (Booth) Biron, died in 1986. He leaves a son, Glenn H. Biron of 
Costa Mesa, Calif.; a sister, Irene Phaneuf of Fiskdale; and two grandchildren. He was 
born in Southbridge, son of Napoleon and Eva (Fortier) Biron, and lived all his life in 
the area. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and received the Medal of Valor. Mr. 
Biron was a machinist at Arland Tool Co. for more than 25 years before he retired. He 
was a member of Leonide J. Lemire Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars in Southbridge; 
and a former member of Sturbridge-Fiskdale Post, V.F.W. 

 Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Daniel T. Morrill Funeral 
Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge. Burial will be in North Cemetery. Calling hours 
are 2 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
