Mass Town and Vital Rec on ancestry, grad Methodist Collegial Seminary of 
Middletown, Ct. then begame a doctor of medicine and surgery in the neighborhood of 
Utica, NY. In 1863 went into govt service as a surgeon. 
Alumni Record by Wesleyan Univ (Middletown Conn) on google books: says b 10 Nov 
1817, left college, having completed an English course 1836. Practised medicine in 
Whitesboro NY 1843-1859, removed to Ohio 1860. Asst surgeon in hospitals, 
Nashville, Tenn. post surgeon at Shelbyville, Tenn 1863-64. Died 18 July 1865 in a 
field hospital near Nashville Tenn.
