Durham L. Altman, 87, Orange City, FL passed away on Friday, August 7, 2009 at the 
Hospice Care Center, Orange City. Born in Fort Meade, FL he has been a resident of 
Orange City for over 50 years. He worked as a State Road Worker for the Florida 
Dept. of Transportation and was a Coast Guard WWII veteran. He was a member of 
the American Legion, the VFW and Lake Helen United Methodist Church. He loved his 
family. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joyce; son, Michael W. (Jody) Altman, 
Deltona; four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carroll 
Altman. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at 1 p.m. at 
Hollywood Cemetery in Orange City with Pastor Mike Modica officiating. A viewing will 
be held from 11:00 a.m. 12:00 noon at the Lankford Funeral Home in DeLand.
