Orebaugh Fam Tree on ancestry

CHESAPEAKE – Warren S. Orebaugh, 89, formerly of Stuarts Draft, died Sunday, April 
12, 2015, in Chesapeake.

He was born June 24, 1925, in Augusta County, son of the late Walter and Roxie 
Whitmore Orebaugh.

Warren was a longtime active member of Mount Vernon Church of the Brethren. A 
Navy veteran of WW II, having served in the Pacific and at Normandy, he was retired 
from DuPont. He was a loving husband and father.

He was also preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth “Libby” Orebaugh in 
2011; son, Dr. David Orebaugh; brother, Utah Orebaugh; and sisters, Mary Lance, 
Willanna Kramer, Erma Wilfong, and Eva Huffman.

Surviving are son, Douglas Orebaugh (Linda) of Fairfield; daughters, Shelby Johnson 
(Glenn) of Chesapeake and Sharon Francis (Rick) of Champaign, Illinois; 11 
grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2015, at the Mount Vernon Church of the 
Brethren by Pastors Randy Simmons and Garald Senger. Interment will follow at the 

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Youth Ministries, Mt. Vernon Church of 
the Brethren, 90 Mount Vernon Rd., Waynesboro, VA 22980.
