MARY IDA YAKEY, 55, of Sagamore Drive, South Dartmouth, formerly of East 
Providence, a sales representative and head teller for Baybank from 1987-1996, died 
Saturday at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of James E. Yakey. 

 Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Edward Michael and Ida C. (Clark) Devine, 
she lived in South Dartmouth since 1986. She was a lifelong summer resident of South 
Dartmouth. 

 Mrs. Yakey also worked for Puritan Life Insurance Co., and the Weybosett Pure Food 
Markets. She attended the University of Rhode Island and Bryant College. She was a 
communicant of St. Mary Church, South Dartmouth, and Sacred Heart Church, East 
Providence, where she was active with the CYO. 

 Besides her husband she leaves three stepsons, Thomas Yakey of Manville, Henry 
Yakey of Cranston, and James Yakey of South Dartmouth; two stepdaughters, Mary 
Elizabeth Stubbs of Cranston, and Linda Belle Yakey of South Dartmouth; a sister, 
Ann Devine Ferreira of South Dartmouth, and four grandchildren. 

 The funeral will be held today at 8 a.m. from the Dartmouth Funeral Home, 230 
Russells Mills Road, South Dartmouth, with a funeral Mass at 9 in St. Mary Church, 
Dartmouth Street. Burial will be in Springvale Cemetery, Rumford.
