ORMOND BEACH — Robert Hannahs, 88, of Shady Branch Trail, a millwright for 
American Brass Co. in Kenosha, Wis., before his retirement, died Saturday at Hospice 
Care Center, Port Orange.

 Mr. Hannahs, a Navy veteran of World War II, was born in Kenosha and moved to 
this area in 1980 from Green Valley, Ariz. He was a member of the Unitarian 
Universalist Church in Kenosha and a lifetime member of the New Smyrna 
Conservation Hunt Club and the Halifax Humane Society. He also was a member of 
the Wednesday Club at Billy’s Taproom. He graduated from University of Wisconsin-
Madison Layton School of Art. He was a Boy Scout leader for 35 years and was 
awarded the Silver Beaver for dedicated service. An avid gunsmith, Mr. Hannahs 
enjoyed hunting, fishing and travel, particularly cruises. 

 Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Eve; a son, R. Stephen, Newport Beach, 
Calif.; three daughters, Nancy Hannahs, Prescott, Ariz., Judy Seps, Ormond Beach, 
and Lauren Riel, Deerfield Beach; a sister, Edna Seaman, Florida; five grandchildren; 
and eight great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of 
Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129; or the Halifax Humane 
Society, P.O. Box 9035, Daytona Beach, FL 32120-9035. Ormond Funeral Home, 
Ormond Beach, is in charge.
