76, of Williams-ville died at 11:50 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Medical Center. 

 He was born in Portland, Ore., Sept. 29, 1912, the son of Robert and Sarah N. Wood 
Anderson. Before his retirement in 1982, he was employed as a civil engineer by the 
Federal Highway Administration. He married Mildred Burlison in 1943 in St. Charles, 
Mo. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. 

 Mr. Anderson was a member of Williamsville United Methodist Church, Lavely Lodge 
203 AF&AM, Ansar Shrine, Valley of Springfield AASR, past commander of the Ansar 
Legion of Honor in 1978 and a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. 

 Surviving are his wife, Mildred L. two sons, Leon L. Anderson of El Paso, Texas, and 
Fred D. Anderson of Jeffersonville, Ind.; two daughters, Mrs. 

 Ted (Donna) Symons of Janesville, Wis., and Mrs. Gerald (Sharon) Vespa of 
Springfield; two brothers, Robert and Benjamin R. Anderson of Las Vegas, Nev.; 15 
grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. 

 Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Bisch Memorial Home, with the Rev. 

 Daniel Crede and the Rev. Kelligay Crede officiating. Burial will be in Camp Butler 
National Cemetery.
