Clara C. Vose 


Oct. 21, 1913 - July 5, 2005 

 Clara C. Vose, 91, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, died Tuesday at the 
Mennonite Village in Albany. 

 She was born Clara C. Christensen in Antioch, Ill., the daughter of Nels and Anna M. 
Christensen. Clara married Dixon T. Vose on Dec. 7, 1932, and moved to Jefferson in 
1934. He died in 1993. A daughter, Eleanor Kirsch, died in 2004. 

 She attended Marion Friends Church and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star 
and the Wedding Ring Club in Jefferson. 

 Survivors include daughters Karen Rose of Turner and Theresa Turner of Medford; 
son Robert Vose of Turner; 18 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; four great-
great-grandchildren, and sister Elly Christensen of Eagle River, Wis. 

 A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Marion Friends Church with 
interment to follow at Jefferson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at 
Fisher Funeral Home. Memorial contributions for the Marion Friends Church may be 
sent to the funeral Home, 306 Washington S.W., Albany, OR 97321
