Geraldine Elizabeth Plate of Palatine Visitation for Geraldine Elizabeth Plate (nee 
Bennett), 88, will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, at Ahlgrim Family Funeral 
Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. Funeral services and interment in 
Palatine-Hillside Cemetery, will be private. Born Dec. 16, 1918, in Waukegan, she 
died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2006, at Northwest Community Healthcare in Arlington Heights. 
She is survived by her children, James (Arlene) Plate, Suzanne (Joseph) Manczuk and 
Lee (Shannon) Plate; grandchildren, Catherine (Chris) Bicknell, Steven (Michelle) 
Plate, Jaclyn (Bernard) Swanson, Melissa (Tim) Donofrio, Laura (Erik) Kanalas, Logan 
(Ashley) Rietz and Bailey Rietz; great-grandchildren, Lucas and Noah Bicknell, Natalie 
Plate, Mckenzie Swanson, Matthew, Susan and Ryan Donofrio and Meara and Nathan 
Kanalas; sister, Phyllis (the late DeForest) Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin M. For information, 847-358-7411.
