Florence Leland HANNAH 

 Florence Hannah, age 86, died peacefully at home on Dec. 29, 2009, with her 
daughter, Gail, at her bedside. Born on March 13, 1923, Florence grew up in Seattle, 
graduated from Lincoln High School and the Univ. of Washington, where she was a 
Chi Omega. 

 During WWII, she built B-17s and B-29s at Boeing. She raised a family and lived in 
Seattle and Maryland. Florence loved God, her family, and the Washington Huskies. 
She sang in her church choir, volunteered with the Blood Bank, and enjoyed travel. 
Florence lived her life with elegance, optimism and a spirit of gratitude. 

 Florence is survived by her brother, Herbert (Dorothy) Leland of Seattle, four children, 
Gail Eshom (Don Brooks) of Seattle, Lynn Eshom of Los Angeles, Mary (John) Cooksey 
of San Diego, and Paul Hannah (Beth Ann Bonnecroy) of Seattle, seven 
grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. 

 Funeral, interment and reception will be at Trinity Parish Episcopal Church, 609 8th 
Avenue, Seattle, on Thurs. Jan. 7 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given 
to Providence Hospice of Seattle, or the Alzheimer's Association of Western 
Washington.
