 Patricia Drew Nichols Lofties, age 78, Mother, MaMa, and Nana passed away on 
March 10, 2009 following a courageous battle with COPD and emphysema in Lees 
Summit, MO. 

 She was born July 28, 1930, in Southampton, Long Island, New York, to the late 
Lansing Fredric Nichols and Charlotte Drew. Graduated high school June, 1948 from 
Southampton High School and obtained her LPN degree in 1976 from Grayson 
College, Denison, Texas. She was a Neurological nurse at St. Francis Hospital in 
Tulsa, Oklahoma for 10 years. In partnership with her husband, Earnest Granville 
Lofties (Granny) they opened the Front Porch Restaurant at Lake Tenkiller, Oklahoma 
where they shared their love of cooking and entertaining for 7 years. She was 
employed for 5 years as dorm mother for male students at Connors State College, 
Warner, OK. Pat lived her youth between Southampton, NY and Chandler, Oklahoma. 
Pat's father, Lansing Fredric Nichols and Grandmother Anna Laura Wimber Nichols 
were the owners of The Lincoln County Republican newspaper in Chandler, Oklahoma. 

 Pat was a devout Catholic whose main love was her family. She follows her husband, 
Earnest Granville Lofties (Granny) to Heaven and leaves behind her three daughters, 
Tracy Drew Lofties McPhee, Melinda Jane Lofties, and Dana Brooke Lofties Reeder 
and son in laws, Steven Robert Burge, Wesley Dean Colter, James Richard McClure, 
Clay Trotter, Robert Dean Reeder and Daryl McPhee. She has 9 grandchildren, 
Brooke Burge Donelson (spouse of Drue Donelson), Justin Robert Burge, Jessica Ann 
Colter, the late Andrew Hastings McClure, Carley Anne McClure, Madeline Drew 
Reeder, Bradley Cort Trotter, Robert Collin Trotter and Lauren Olivia Reeder. She also 
leaves behind five great grandchildren, Spencer Robert Donelson, Brayden Drew 
Donelson, Joseph Andrew Banks, Jordyn Riley Banks, and Alyssa Jane Kaeckell. Also 
left behind are Cousin Ethelyene Wilbanks, nephew Terry Lofties and sister-in law, 
Norma Nichols and adopted grandson Paul Rush. She is preceded in death by her 
brother Lansing Nichols. And last but not least, she leaves behind her most precious 
lifelong friends "The Girls" Patty Crowson, Patsy Anderson, Carol Matz, and Colleen 
Frankenbach. 

 Graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Oak Park Cemetery in 
Chandler, Oklahoma where her family and friends will celebrate the woman who loved 
to travel, found peace at the beach, enjoyed wonderful food and wine, going to 
Broadway shows, listening to music which she loved to whistle to, her love of reading, 
and being the "Family Matriarch" for her wonderful family. Friends and family are 
welcome to share our memories at a luncheon following the service at Our Lady of 
Sorrows Catholic Church. 

 In lieu of flowers, she requested donations be made to The Animal Humane Society in 
honor of her extreme love of her dogs.
