MERIDEN - Priscilla Collins Harris, 84, of Swain Ave., Meriden, wife of the late Lee J. 
Harris, died Tuesday, June 6, 2000 at the MidState Medical Center, following a long 
illness. 

 Born in Mount Kisco, New York, Jan. 25, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Percy 
E. and Frances Chaffee Collins and had been a Meriden resident for many years. She 
attended local schools, graduating from the Meriden High School in 1934, and 
Edgewood Park Junior College in Greenwich and attended Syracuse University. She 
was employed as a secretary at Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford for 36 years retiring in 
1985. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Meriden, and had been 
a former Deaconess and member of the Women's Fellowship. She was a member of the 
Auxiliary of VMMC, the Meriden Women's Club and AARP. She was an avid knitter, 
making many sweaters and lap robes for various charitable organizations. 

 She is survived by her daughter, Monnis H. Sullivan and her husband, William 
Sullivan of Meriden; a grandson, Ernest DeFelice and his wife, Marie Rose DeFelice of 
Meriden; a granddaughter, Deborah DeFelice and mate, Clifton Kelley of Waynesville, 
Mo.; two great-grandchildren, Robert and Holly DeFelice; and a niece, Cheryl Collins 
of Southington. She was predeceased by her brother, Hollister Collins; and a great-
granddaughter, Corina DeFelice. 

 There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held, Saturday, June 24, at 
2 p.m. in the First Congregational Church, 62 Colony St., Meriden. 

 Arrangements are under the direction of the Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main St., 
Yalesville section of Wallingford.
