Glen Sumruld was born on March 17, 1934 to Roy and Clara Sumruld in Snyder, 
Texas. Glen left this earth and went to be with the Lord on September 29, 2011. Glen 
is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marge; daughters, Monica Garcia and husband, 
Jesse and Brenda Sumruld; his mother, Clara Sumruld; brother, R. L. Sumruld and wife, 
Lois; sisters, Clara McElmoyl, Doris Murdock, Nita Stoleson and Jean Levy and 
husband, Ted; two grandchildren, Lia and Derek Garcia; two great grandchildren and 
many nieces and nephews. Glen was preceded in death by his father, Roy Sumruld. 
Glen's family came to California when he was six months old. He attended Tulare 
schools and was a highly respected businessman in the area who touched many 
people's lives. He regularly attended Visalia First Assembly of God Church and felt 
blessed and grateful for all that God had done for him. He was a kindhearted and 
extremely generous man, who put God and his family first in his life. Glen will be 
missed by many, but especially by his family. Services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, 
October 6, 2011 at Visalia First Assembly of God Church with burial at Tulare District 
Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Visalia First Assembly of God 
Church Building Fund, 3737 S. Akers Rd., Visalia, CA 93277. Arrangements are by 
Peers Lorentzen Funeral Service.
