Nichols, Asher B. Of Whitefish Bay. Entered Eternal Life Tuesday, February 10, 2009, 
at the age of 78. Beloved husband of 52 years to Susan (nee Stoller). Dear father of 
Cindy (Doug) Stephenson, Scott (Carolyn) Nichols, Cathy (Dave) Markson and Chris 
(Maureen) Nichols. Grandfather of Erin and Courtney Stephenson, Scott and Megan 
Nichols, Steve and Charlie Markson, and Christopher and Katie Nichols. Asher is 
further survived by other relatives and friends. Asher was an employee at M & I Bank 
for over 45 years, retiring as Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer. He 
was past President and current director of The Skylight Opera Theater, treasurer of 
the Florentine Opera, served on the finance committee of Schlitz Audubon, was 
trustee for 12 years of the Village of Whitefish Bay, was a treasurer and member of the 
Advisory Board of the Milwaukee Public Library, past President of the American 
Diabetes Assoc., past treasurer of the Wisconsin Lung Association, past treasurer of 
Badger Association for the Blind, former director of M & I First National Leasing, past 
President of the Gyro Club of Milwaukee and long time member of Tripoli Country Club, 
the Town Club and the University Club. Asher also proudly served in the U.S. Army 
during the Korean War. A visitation will be held Saturday, February 14, from 9:00 AM 
until 1:00 PM at the Feerick Funeral Home. A celebration of Asher's life will be held 
Sunday at 1:00 PM at North Shore Congregational Church, 7330 N. Santa Monica 
Blvd, Fox Point, corner of Santa Monica Blvd. and Bell Rd. In lieu of flowers memorials 
in Asher's name can be made to The Skylight Opera Theater, 158 N. Broadway, 
Milwaukee, WI 53202, Whitefish Bay Public Education Foundation, 1200 E. Fairmount 
Ave., Whitefish Bay, WI 53217, or to the charity of your choice. Special thanks to Dr. 
Anton Salud and the staff at Columbia Hospital for their care. Asher will be greatly 
missed by his family, whom he loved very much, especially his grandchildren. FEERICK
