Robert Howard Holt was born in Aransas Pass, Texas and went to be with the Lord on 
October 10, 2015 at the age of 76. He is survived by his beloved wife of many years 
Esther, daughters Sandra and Lisa, brother Kenneth and wife Norma, daughter-in-law 
Dianne, six grandchildren, one great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. 
He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. 

 He is remembered in the Houston Northwest community as a charter member and past 
chairman of the Cy-Fair Chamber of Commerce. Among his many accomplishments, he 
is known in the State of Texas to develop and own one of the first companies to 
provide mortuary services for funeral homes. He also owned and operated Robert H. 
Holt Funeral Chapel where he served his community as a compassionate funeral 
director and skilled embalmer and reconstructive artist He loved to hunt, garden, and 
paint pictures of wildlife. He especially cherished the many years of fishing he spent 
with his wife. They were truly each other’s soul mate, best friend, and constant 
companion. He will always be remembered for his amazing smile, his ability to make 
people laugh, and for his famous story telling. 

 He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Edith Mae, his daughter Robyn, 
his son Chris, his sister Alpha Mae, and his brothers Orville, CL “Rusty”, and Gene 
Arnold.

 Robert’s celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24 at 11:00 a.m. at the 
Cypress-Fairbanks Funeral Home located at 9926 Jones Road Houston, Texas 77065. 
A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to 
the American Cancer Society.
