Old Lyme - Joan Lydia "Iselin" Hyde, 77, of Boston Post Road, died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 
2006 at Lawrence (and) Memorial Hospital after a long illness. 

 Mrs. Hyde was born on March 4, 1929 in New York City, the daughter of Dr. John H. 
Iselin and Lydia Merrill Iselin. Her husband, John Hindon Hyde, to whom she had been 
married for 51 years, predeceased her in 2001. 

 Mrs. Hyde was a graduate of the Chapin School in New York City and The Masters 
College in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. 

 Mrs. Hyde is survived by her two sons, James H. Hyde, of Stowe, Vt., editor of 
NewEnglandTimes.Com; and Peter Alden Hyde, of New London, a public relations 
specialist for Dominion Power; her daughter, Barbara Hyde Ryerson, of Dedham, 
Mass., a project management specialist for IBM; and three grandchildren. 

 Funeral services will be private. 

 Fulton-Therouox Funeral Home, Old Lyme is handling the arrangements.
