Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend age 64 passed away on July 7, 2002 at 
her home in South Jordan, Utah, surrounded by her family, after a battle with cancer. 
She was born Feb. 28, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Don B. and Lanore Pedersen 
Searle. Donna received her education in the Jordan School District and at LDS 
Business College and Henegar Business College. She married Ben Barker in 1957, 
they were later divorced. Donna married Wayne A. Hutchings on September 28, 1975. 
After raising her children, she worked in the health care field for 20 years, retiring in 
1993. She enjoyed traveling, working at home in her garden and helping others in any 
way she could. Donna loved and enjoyed everyone she met; the spark in her eyes, the 
warmth of her smile, the kindness in her heart and the sincerity in her voice made it 
easy for her to talk with people, making the world seem smaller and more friendly. She 
is survived by her husband Wayne; six children, Jeff (Shonie) Barker of Roosevlet, 
UT; Jackie (Don) Harman of Salem, UT; Gregory Ted (Kathleen) Barker of Sandy, UT; 
Jared Barker of South Jordan, UT; Danean Hutchings of Murray, UT; and Kevin 
(Renee) Hutchings of Springville, UT; 26 grandchildren; her mother Lanore Searle; a 
sister, Bonnie (Mick) Eastman; brothers, Danny (Connie) Searle; Frank (Sherry) Searle; 
and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Don 
B. Searle. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2002, at 11:00 a.m., in 
the Jordan River 16th Ward Chapel, 1570 West 11400 South, South Jordan, Utah. 
Friends may call Tuesday evening, at the Ward Chapel., or Wednesday morning one 
hour prior to services. Services under the direction of Berg Mortuary of Provo. 
Interment, East Lawn Memorial Hills, 4800 North 650 East, Provo, Utah. The family 
would like to express their appreciation to Vista Care Hospice for their loving care, 
and to the Jordan River 16th Ward, and to the many friends and neighbors that have 
been so thoughtful and kind. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be 
made in Donna's name, to the Make a Wish Foundation, 2091 East 4800 South, Suite 
15, Salt Lake City, UT 84117..
