VIRGINIA GRACE BALLUFF, 85, of Airport Road, a retired teacher's aide, died 
yesterday at Roger Williams Medical Center, Providence. 

 She was the wife of the late Calvin Richard Balluff. Born in Stillman Valley, Ill., a 
daughter of the late William and Nora (Robbins) Hurd, she had lived in Coventry for 14 
years, previously living in Oregon, Ill. 

 She was a teacher's aide in various daycare centers, retiring in 1972. 

 Mrs. Balluff was a member of the West Bay Christian Women's Club and was an avid 
square dancer, participating with the Narragansett Pacers, Sweet Heart Steppers and 
the Happy Spinners. 

 She leaves a daughter, Patricia M. Burbank of Coventry; two grandchildren, Benjamin 
Burbank of Block Island and Amanda Burbank of Exeter; and a companion, Richard 
Lamb of Coventry. She was the sister of the late Florence Main, and Eugene, Daniel, 
Kenneth and Bud Hurd. 

 A memorial service will be celebrated Monday at 7 p.m. in Washington United 
Methodist Church, 1191 Main St.
