EDWIN RUSSELL "RUSS" KENDRICK, JR., age 70, passed away on the morning of 
May 11, 2006, following a courageous battle with a sudden illness. He was born in 
Houston on September 7, 1935, and proudly lived here for most of his life. He was 
preceded in death by his mother, Jessie Hamrick Kendrick, and is survived by his 
father, Edwin Russell "Buster" Kendrick, Sr. Russ Kendrick is also survived by wife 
Sharleen "Sherry" Maule Kendrick; daughter and son-in-law Laurie and Mark Orman, 
and granddaughter Catherine Orman; son David Russell Kendrick; son John Paul 
Kendrick and grandson Jonathan Wade Kendrick; sister and brother-in-law Ann and 
Arthur Denny Scott; and aunt Blanche Ross, as well as countless other relatives and 
friends whose lives were touched by his strength and his unfailing humor. He wished 
that his death not be mourned, but that his life be celebrated instead. Russ Kendrick 
was a husband to one, a father to three, and a friend to many. He will be dearly
