Anna Ammon, 95, passed away in her home on Sept. 2, 2006. She was born on June 
15, 1911, in Litchville, N.D., the daughter of Louis and Josephine White. She was 
joined in marriage to Ray Ammon on March 30, 1935. Her husband Ray preceded her 
in death in December of 1961.
She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Lindsey of Medina, Wash.; two grandchildren, 
two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-
nephews.
Anna held a Montana Life Teaching Certificate and began her career in Peerless, and 
retired after teaching many years in the Yellowstone County School System. Her 
students and family will always remember her love of storytelling, which she 
incorporated into her teaching and into entertaining all the family children as they 
grew up throughout the years. Anna was a loving and caring person who will be 
missed by her family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7, at Mountview 
Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Big Sky Hospice or to the charity of one's choice.
