Obituary for Sharon Bruder 

Sharon “Sherry” Kay Bruder, of Coldwater, passed away after a lengthy battle with 
cancer on Sunday, August 9, 2015 surrounded by her family at Quincy Cottage in 
Quincy.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Dutcher 
Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Jennifer Ward of Jonesville United Methodist 
Church officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Union City. Visitation 
will take place on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral 
Home in Coldwater.

Sherry was born to Blake and Madge (Lamb) Blanchard in Marshall, Michigan. She 
married Greg Bruder on March 17, 1997 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Sherry was a Branch 
Office Administrator for 20 years with Edward Jones in Coldwater. She was a former 
member of the Coldwater Elks Lodge.

Sherry loved being a homemaker, always making her home warm and inviting to 
everyone. She enjoyed hosting holiday, birthday and pool parties. She was an avid 
reader of books as well as crocheting, making crafts, flower gardening, traveling, 
putting together puzzles and driving her 1994 Mustang convertible. She also loved her 
dogs Muffin, Murphy and Maggie.

She is survived by her husband Greg of Coldwater; her children Eric Herman of 
Sherwood, Melissa (Tony) Herman Orozco of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, Angie (Jason) Herman 
Rapelje of Marshall and step daughter, Ashley Bruder of Des Moines, Iowa; her 
grandchildren, Justin, MacKenzie, Gabriel, Abigail, Alexander, Gabriella, Nathaniel, 
William and Mel. She is also survived by her great granddaughter Miya. Sherry was 
preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Dolores Spooner and Sue Petroff.
