 Former North Olympic Peninsula resident Wilbur D. Earl, 93, of Pahrump, Nev., died 
of lung cancer.  He was born in Detroit to Chester D. and Hazel (Smith) Earl. 
 Mr. Earl graduated from Roosevelt High School in Port Angeles in 1933. 
 He was a millworker with ITT Rayonier and a stockholder with PenPly as well as an 
employee of the post office.  He retired from the post office in Crescent City, Calif. 
 Also in Port Angeles, he owned a grocery store at Eighth and Peabody streets and a 
grocery store/gas station on the east side of Port Angeles, near Mount Angeles 
Memorial Park. 
 Mr. Earl was a member of the Elks Naval Lodge in Port Angeles and the Southern 
Baptist Church. 
 He married Bernice Caulkins, who died in Eugene., Ore., in May 1996. 
 Then he married Jeannie Cady on Nov. 30, 1997. 
 In addition to his wife, survivors include son and daughter-in-law David and Jonnie 
Earl; stepson Alan Sunde; stepdaughter Carolyn Huber; seven grandchildren and 
numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 
 Son Robert Earl died in 1986. 
 Services: Celebration of life was held June 15 in Pahrump, Nev. Pahrump Family 
Mortuary was in charge of cremation.
