Julius F. Chebuhar 
DAVENPORT - Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial for Julius F. Chebuhar, 
85, formerly of Bettendorf, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2007, at Our 
Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Bettendorf. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery 
with military rites. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Halligan McCabe 
De Vries Funeral Home, where a Christian wake service will be offered at 4:30 p.m. 
Mr. Chebuhar died Saturday, September 1, 2007, at Trinity Pathway Hospice, 
Bettendorf. Memorials may be made to Disabled Americans Veterans or Trinity Pathway 
Hospice, 4500 Utica Ridge Road, Bettendorf, IA 52722. 

 Julius Frank Chebuhar was born January 31, 1922, in Rathbun, Iowa, the son of 
Julius and Mary (Kozeliski) Chebuhar. He was united in marriage to Mary Jane Fahey 
on April 15, 1950, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Davenport. She preceded him in 
death December 9, 1996. 

 Julius served his country during World War II in the Army. He was awarded the 
Bronze Star for valor. 

 His memberships include Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and American Legion 
post 154 Bettendorf. He was a former member of the Croation Club of Moline and the 
Davenport Moose Lodge. 

 Julius retired in 1980 from Catepiller. 

 Survivors include his daughter, Julie Bitner, of Davenport, with whom he resided; and 
a brother, John Chebuhar, Bettendorf; nephews, John (Debbie) Chebuhar, LeClaire, 
Iowa, and Phil Chebuhar; and nieces, Marilyn Mallary, Sheron Blazina, Pat Farquhar, 
Mary Beth Cloninger, Christine Dossing, Joan Sobol, Jean Baird and Mary Cae Nutting; 
and a good friend, Tom Luton. 

 Julius was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane, parents, brother, Vince; sisters, 
Olga Blazina and Mary Sobol. May they rest in peace. 

 A special thank you to the nurses and staff at Trinity Pathway Hospice for their 
wonderful care.
