LaDonna J. Day, 78, of Sheridan died Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, in Sheridan Memorial
Hospital. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Champion Ferries Funeral Home
with the Rev. Douglas Goodwin officiating. Inurnment of cremains will be in Sheridan
Municipal Cemetery. Born Oct. 1, 1930, in Beulah, N.D., to Arnold and Edna (Enyart)
Anderson, she grew up and attended schools in Beulah and Sheridan. She worked at
several jobs including for Woolworth's until she married John Day on June 30, 1949, in
Billings. They owned and operated Park Street Grocery. They sold the grocery and
Mrs. Day went to work at Angionette's until retiring in 1992. She volunteered at
nursing homes and was a member of the Monarch sewing club. She enjoyed playing
the piano, cooking, yearly family gatherings in North Dakota, and writing letters to
family and friends. Survivors include her husband; a son, John of Sheridan; two
daughters, Lois Waldron of East Hampton, Mass., and Laurie Serna of Euless, Texas;
a brother, Allan Anderson of Bismarck, N.D.; two sisters, Merlin Sailer of Stanton,
N.D., and Sandra Wood of Spokane, Wash.; six grandchildren; and three great-
grandchildren.
